Ah, a beautiful, true porter by the looks of her – opaque black with a beige mild head. Rum barrel aged? Oh yes please.
Roasted, chocolate malts and alcoholic notes float up into my ol’ nose peepers. Going down, we have a fairly acidic brew, but in a delightful way – that chocolate malt and rum profile shine on right through. This ain’t no bottom shelf rum barrel – the alcohol of the rum is delectable throughout this brew. Has the smooth texture like that of a milk stout, with that chocolate malt being damn luxurious. Not overly bitter or alcoholic – walks the line so perfectly. Comparable to Dragons Milk and that’s a big compliment on our end. Skip the cake and make this your dessert brah! 22/24
